- The GGNA Zoning & Planning Committee and Alderman Daniel La Spada are co-hosting a community meeting at Haas Park on Wednesday, September 27 @ 6:00pm. to review a proposed development at 2429-31 W. Fullerton ave. The developer is asking for a zoning change from B3-1 to B2-3. The proposed development would be 5 stories with 38 dwelling units. (20 one bedroom, 16 two bedroom and 2 three bedroom). All neighbors are welcome and encouraged to attend.
- Our monthly GGNA Zoning & Planning Committee meeting at Haas Park is scheduled for Monday, August 14 @ 6:00pm. We will be reviewing a revised proposed development for 2429 West Fullerton ave. - The Greater Goethe Neighborhood Association Zoning and Planning Committee will be conducting a virtual meeting to review the property at 2134 North Rockwell Ave. on October 12, 2020 @ 6:30 p.m.The property was originally reviewed on September 11, 2017 for a zoning change from C1-1 to a B2-3 zoning. The plans presented were for a four-story building with 4 condo units and a recessed back. The project is proposed to include a first floor duplex down, 3 simplex units, and 4 garage parking spaces. Each simplex will include a balcony.
The site is triangle shaped with an existing 2 ½ story residential building with a front and rear yard. There is an alley on the north and on the south. To the south is an empty commercial corner lot fronting Milwaukee Avenue also zoned C1-1 allowing a building height of 38 feet.
The property was reviewed by the GGNA ZAPC on April 9, 2018 and provided a recommendation letter to the Alderman.
The property has recently been sold to a new project team and have revised the plans from the proposed four condominiums to a proposed three townhomes.

- Our monthly GGNA Zoning & Planning Committee meeting at Haas Park is scheduled for Monday, February 10 @ 6:30pm. We will be co-hosting a community meeting with Alderman's office to review a proposed development at 2406 W Armitage ave/2000 N. Western ave. This property does not require a Zoning Change for the lot development, the designation of the property is zoned as C1-3 and therefore the proposed development is allowed per City of Chicago Zoning Ordinance. The purpose of the meeting is to keep the community informed of this substantial development in our area. All neighbors are welcome to attend.

We will start with a community meeting regarding a proposed new taproom for the 1900 block of N. Western ave. (Margie's Candies building). Ed Marszewski of Marz Brewing doesn't need a zoning change, but will be requesting that the liquor moratorium on this block of Western ave be lifted. Since the development is at the intersection of several neighborhoods Alderman Daniel La Spada has asked for our input. After that we will move on to our monthly committee meeting where we will be reviewing a proposed zoning change for 2418 W. Lyndale st. from a RS-3 to a RT-4.
